Manchester United attacker Rasmus Hojlund aims a dig at his nemesis Kyle Walker following Sunday’s dramatic Derby victory.

Josko Gvardiol gave the Cityzens a slim lead for the majority of the contest. But just when the home supporters at the Etihad Stadium were beginning to sense the win they’ve been yearning for, Amad Diallo took over.

The young winger pounced on a poor backpass from Matheus Nunes to win a penalty for a foul committed by the same player. Bruno Fernandes make no mistake from the spot, sending Ederson the wrong way. Two minutes later, Amad scored the winner himself after receiving a long ball from Lisandro Martinez and beating the goalkeeper with his first touch before slotting the ball home.

Nevertheless, no Derby can ever be complete without some good old-fashioned squabbles, and this time, Hojlund and Walker were the main protagonists in the act. The Danish striker reacted angrily to a mischievous challenge from the England veteran, which sparked a literal head-to-head row. But in the middle of the dispute, Walker theatrically fell to the ground in a miserable attempt to prompt the youngster’s dismissal.

Nevertheless, the replies clearly proved that Hojlund didn’t headbutt the experienced defender who made a meal out of nothing, with even the commentators suggesting he should be embarrassed by his acts.

So after the final whistle, Hojlund was quick to rub it in Walker’s face, and did so through a mocking poem he posted on his Instagram account which also includes a photo of the head-to-head dispute.

“Manchester is red. Violets are blue. What a brilliant performance. But the Oscar goes to…” reads the post.

While the rhyme isn’t quite perfect, the Red Devils supporters will certainly rave in this one, especially since it comes at the expense of one of the least popular figures in the red half of Manchester.
