The January transfer window is upon us as clubs look to bolster their squads for the second half of the campaign.
We’ve picked out a few potential deals that could happen this month…
Mo Salah to the Saudi Pro League?
Following Mo Salah’s explosive interview after Liverpool’s draw with Leeds earlier this season, his future at the club was thrown into doubt.
Salah said he felt “thrown under the bus” having been dropped to the bench and alluded to someone not wanting him at the club anymore.
Things look to have smoothed over somewhat since, with Arne Slot insisting there is nothing more to discuss with the Egypt forward, who is currently away at the Africa Cup of Nations with his country.
But talk of his future has not completely gone away, with the 33-year-old unhappy with sitting on the bench at the club.
Salah has been linked with Saudi Pro League sides before and those links have resurfaced following recent developments. It is certainly one to keep an eye on.
Adama Traore to West Ham?
Reports have claimed that West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo wants a reunion with his former winger Adama Traore, who is out of contract with Fulham at the end of the season.
The Hammers have endured a nightmare campaign so far, and online casino bookmakers’ have them among the favourites to get relegated this season.
Traore is not the marquee signing many fans would hope for, but his pace out wide could help them to become a more dangerous attacking side.
Antoine Semenyo to Manchester City?
According to the Athletic, Manchester City have become the frontrunners to sign the in-demand Bournemouth forward.
A host of top clubs have expressed an interest in Semenyo, who has scored eight goals in 16 league games this season. Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea are also among those to have been linked with the 25-year-old.
Man City are reportedly in advanced talks over signing the Ghana international, however, and it looks likely it will get done.
Marc Guehi to Liverpool?
Liverpool came very close to completing the signing of the Crystal Palace defender in the summer, only for the Eagles to pull the plug on the sale late on deadline day.
The Reds are short on defenders due to injuries, and Arne Slot will no doubt want to bolster his back line in January.
Revisiting a deal for Guehi, who has again been fantastic for Palace this season would make a lot of sense and would certainly help Liverpool improve. But they reportedly face competition for his signature from Manchester City too, with the defender out of contract at the end of the season.
