The broadcaster has made a pledge that will intrigue supporters of EFL clubs.
The EFL season may have only just concluded, but football fanatics are already looking ahead past the World Cup and onto next season.
It was a landmark 2025-26 campaign with clubs like Bromley and Lincoln City surpassing expectations, while Leicester City, Sheffield Wednesday and West Ham will want to forget about it completely.
Next season is bound to throw up some incredible storylines with fierce rivalries renewed and away days like no other for supporters across the Championship, League One and League Two.
Now, the latest Sky Sports announcement is bound to gee up fans even more as they lick their lips with excitement ahead of the 26-27 campaign.

In the 25-26 campaign, more than 1,000 of the EFL's 1,891 games across the EFL, Carabao Cup and Vertu Trophy were broadcast on Sky Sports, and the same will happen this season.
However, the broadcaster has also stated that every one of the 72 EFL clubs will be featured live on Sky Sports more than 20 times.
Of course, clubs will benefit from increased screen time if they are successful in the league, as well as the Carabao Cup and Vertu Cup, as every single play-off clash is aired live.
Clubs with larger fan bases usually get a higher share of televised matches, meaning Championship sides West Ham and Wolves would likely be aired more, while in League One, Leicester and Sheffield Wednesday would be the main beneficiaries.
The Sky Sports+ channel also means that there is greater choice for spectators as they can select from a range of matches to stream that are happening simultaneously.
The Premier League domestic TV rights deal protects the 3pm blackout, but the four-year deal will be reviewed again in 2029.

While being able to watch your side on TV is all well and good, there have been some kinks that Sky Sports should iron out for next season.
Because of the Sky Sports+ feature, many sides can kick off at 12.30pm on a Saturday, but this has had its flaws for travelling supporters.
For example, Norwich City's away trip to Portsmouth was selected for an earlier kick-off, meaning that supporters of the Canaries were tasked with making a potentially five-hour-plus journey early in the morning or travelling the night before, incurring high costs.
The Football Supporters' Association (FSA) has said that one of the biggest sources of complaints to their public inbox is the total disregard the leagues and broadcasters have for match-going fans when scheduling games.
They add that Sky Sports’ five-year deal with the EFL sees 138 games moved for broadcast, with the option to increase that to 158 in the final two years of the contract, highlighting the issue.
While it would make sense to move matches that require less travel to earlier kick-offs, there are a host of factors to be considered when scheduling fixtures, including city events and rivals' games.
Many supporters will be thrilled at the prospect of watching their teams on TV next season, but for travelling fans, they will be hoping that they are considered too.
