Arsenal have joined a number of clubs who are pursuing Manchester United target Rayan Ait-Nouri.

The Wolverhampton Wanderers fullback has impressed numerous teams this year despite his side’s precarious position in the Premier League.

The Red Devils signed Patrick Dorgu from Lecce in January but have still been linked to signing more wing-backs in the summer as Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui have failed to adapt to Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-3 formation.

United are said to be interested in Sporting CP’s Geovany Quenda, who is reportedly ready to move to Old Trafford even if there is no promise of European football.

Amorim’s side still maintain an interest in Ait-Nouri however but they will face stiff competition if they do want to make a move for the Algerian international.

CaughtOffside report that “Arsenal are among the clubs interested in a potential transfer move for Wolves left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri, though they’ll face strong competition from AC Milan.”

Sources close to the situation reveal that “the Gunners have a long-standing interest in Ait-Nouri, who could be available for around €60m this summer.”

Milan are also expected to solidify their interest in the 23 year old as the future of Theo Hernandez is far from certain.

CaughtOffside also report that “Ait-Nouri also has long-standing interest from Liverpool and Manchester United”.

Nonetheless, United may have less inclination to sanction a big money move for the player having signed Dorgu in the winter.

The left back has played 30 games this season in all competitions for the Black Country club.

In that time, he has proven himself to be a considerable attacking threat, scoring four goals and providing five assists in total.
