The Sack Race: Which manager is likely to leave after the winter window?

The winter transfer window has closed so now every team has their squad set for the business part of the season.

Ideally, teams should also have the right person in the dugout as well but as we know from previous seasons, clubs aren't always shy of sacking a manager with just a handful of games left to play.

We could of course get to the end of the season without any managerial changes with odds of around 12/1 for that to happen.

But of course, these odds can always change after just a few good or bad results so let's see which managers are most likely to get the sack before the end of the 2025/26 season...

Thomas Frank Odds: 10/11

Well, the odds are pretty high for one manager at least. Frank has appeared on these features a few times recently but the Dane is still in charge at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Champions League has proven to be a positive for Frank, with Spurs finishing fourth in the league stage while picking up more points than the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Paris Saint-Germain. They also have more points in that competition than Manchester City who they staged an improbable comeback against last weekend to earn a point.

That kind of result makes you think that Frank may still have the players on side but he will need to get his time higher than 14th soon.

Scott Parker Odds: 7/2

Getting a team promoted is always an achievement but trying to stay up is the really hard part. With Wolves planted at the bottom of the table there was always going to be one newly-promoted team staying up but perhaps Burnley fans would have hoped to be a little more competitive this season.

The Clarets are 11 points off safety and are winless in their last 15 Premier League games.

There were some decent points in there with three consecutive draws against Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur but it still feels like a return to the Championship is inevitable and it is only down to the board to decide whether they want to keep Parker in place for a promotion push next season.

Oliver Glasner Odds: 5/2

We already know that Oliver Glasner is leaving at the end of the season but Crystal Palace's rotten form since mid-December has many fans concerned.

The Eagles have gone 12 games without a win in all competitions, a run that includes that humiliating FA Cup defeat to Macclesfield.

The league form is especially concerning with Palace now dropping to 15th in the table with Leeds and Nottingham Forest not far behind. If West Ham United get their act together then it really is a relegation battle. Will Palace want a man who is leaving in the summer to be in charge of that kind of scrap?

Arne Slot Odds: 7/2

Liverpool may not be at their very best just yet but there has been a massive improvement since earlier in the season that has put a slight dampener on rumours of Slot's departure – something that certainly wasn't helped by former favourite Xabi Alonso becoming available.

However, the Reds have lost just once in their last 16 games in all competitions (3-2 to Bournemouth last month) and although there are too many draws in that run for Liverpool's liking things are starting to look up again soon.

Of course, should that early season form reappear questions will emerge once again but for now Slot should be safe at least until summer.

Pep Guardiola Odds: 20/1

With odds higher than 'no manager to leave' , Guardiola's chances of actually exiting before the end of the season seem slim.

Although City look well off it in the league they still have plenty to play for this season and even if Arsenal do slip up then they will want to be in the right place to take full advantage.

Indeed, if the common rumour that Guardiola is going to leave this summer is true it's hard to imagine City making a change now although they may well be lining up replacement candidates regardless.
