Conservative treatment chosen ahead of World Cup

The secret struggle behind Kylian Mbappe’s 38 goals this season
Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe has been dealing with knee problem since December and is now following careful treatment plans.
Kylian Mbappe the top scorer for Real Madrid has been struggling with knee problem that has lasted since December.
The French star relied on painkillers in recent weeks but his absence against Benfica raised fresh concerns inside the club.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, Mbappe has ruled out surgery because of the approaching World Cup choosing instead to continue with conservative treatment under close medical supervision.
The knee issue began during match against Celta Vigo on 7 December. Although Mbappe continued to play, the problem was never fully resolved.
As the season progressed and the World Cup drew closer finding permanent solution became more difficult.
The injury also affected his availability for Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia. Mbappe was initially expected to rest for three weeks but he pushed himself to travel to Jeddah and appeared as substitute in the final defeat against Barcelona despite not being fully fit.
With surgery not option, Mbappe is now working with Real Madrid’s medical staff to manage the pain.
The club is also open to external medical consultations as the player looks for short-term solutions that allow him to play without risking further damage.
At the moment, Real Madrid do not have clear timeline for his return. The priority is to give Mbappe enough rest to avoid more setbacks especially after several relapses earlier in the season.
Despite the injury, Mbappe has shown commitment by continuing to play and score. He has featured in 33 match for Real Madrid this season and scored 38 goal.
