The Telegraph reveal identity of two new Premier League clubs interested in Christopher Nkunku | OneFootball

Newcastle and Nottingham Forest are among the clubs to have registered an interest in Christopher Nkunku according to reports.

Chelsea have been busy revamping their attack this summer, and have already signed Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens.

The Blues are now closing in on a deal for RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons, and the Dutchman would become their fourth attacking signing of the summer.

Newcastle and Nottingham Forest interested in Nkunku

Chelsea are said to want eight or nine attacking options to rotate between in their squad next season, as they prepare for their return to the Champions League.

To make room for the potential arrival of Simons, both Nkunku and Joao Felix are expected to follow Madueke out the exit door.

Despite featuring regularly at the Club World Cup, it’s “almost guaranteed” Nkunku will leave this summer, having arrived from RB Leipzig for £52m in the summer of 2023.

The writing has been on the wall for the Frenchman arguably since January, and Chelsea are believed to have reduced their asking price for Nkunku to £43.3m.

Bayern Munich and Manchester United are said to have interest in the France international, but The Telegraph have reported Nottingham Forest, Newcastle and clubs in Italy have also all registered an interest.

Nkunku scored just three goals in 27 Premier League appearances, but did feature in six of Chelsea’s seven Club World Cup games, including the final.

Chelsea in talks with Benfica over Felix deal

Nkunku isn’t the only attacker Chelsea are looking to move on, with Felix also falling into that category despite only joining last summer.
