Chelsea are adamant they won’t be forced to sell any of their star players if they miss out on Champions League football according to reports.

The Blues are embroiled in a fierce race for Champions League qualification with Manchester United, Aston Villa and Liverpool.

Chelsea currently sit sixth, three points behind Liverpool, although they’ve played a game less than the Champions, whilst they are six points behind Villa and United.

Chelsea won’t be forced to sell star players

Chelsea have qualified just once for the Champions League in three seasons following the takeover by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.

Enzo Maresca guided the Blues back into the competition as they secured a top four finish on the final day of last season.

The battle looks like it could once again go to the wire, and Rosenior has been told Champions League qualification is critical.

There’s been suggestions Chelsea could have to sell the likes of Cole Palmer or Enzo Fernandez if they miss out, but The Telegraph have stated that’s not the case.

They report the Blues are adamant they won’t be forced into selling any of their top players if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo want new contracts

Missing out on the Champions League would be a huge blow, and it would be interesting to see how star players would react to that.

It’s believed the likes of Fernandez and Moises Caicedo are looking for new deals, despite having multiple years to run on their current terms.
