As reported by Fichajes, incoming Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso is already planning for his future at the Santiago Bernabeu and he is doing it with a clear vision.

The former Real Madrid and Liverpool midfielder, who led his team to the Bundesliga title last season, has reportedly requested the signing of three key players he trusts, namely, Jonathan Tah, Piero Hincapie, and Florian Wirtz.

Alonso, who is most likely to take over from Carlo Ancelotti, is keen to bring the backbone of his title-winning side to Madrid.

These three names have been vital in Leverkusen’s historic season, and the Spanish tactician believes they can play a similar role in rebuilding and refreshing Los Blancos.

Tah and Hincapie key to defensive overhaul

Alonso’s main focus in defence is the central area. With David Alaba dealing with fitness concerns and Jesus Vallejo likely to leave, there is a clear need for reinforcements.

Jonathan Tah, an experienced Bundesliga centre-back, could be a smart addition, especially as his contract situation might allow him to arrive on a free transfer.

Hincapie, on the other hand, offers a profile that Real Madrid currently lack. The Ecuadorian is young, left-footed, and capable of playing as both a central defender and left-back.

His versatility and defensive intelligence have made him one of the standout young defenders in Europe.

Wirtz: The creative spark

In attack, Alonso has his eyes on Florian Wirtz. The 22-year-old German international has been one of Europe’s most exciting midfielders this season, delivering goals, assists, and an incredible sense of creativity.

Alonso sees Wirtz as the ideal player to take charge of the attacking midfield, especially if Rodrygo or Brahim Diaz end up leaving in the summer.

Wirtz won’t come cheap, but his ability to break lines, create chances, and link up play fits perfectly with the style Alonso wants to bring to Madrid.

The question now is whether the Real Madrid board will back their new coach’s vision and make the required investment.
