It promises to be another exciting Championship campaign ahead as teams prepare for the opening weekend in pre-season.

It was a thrilling 2025/26 in which Coventry City and Ipswich Town earned automatic promotion to the Premier League, with Millwall missing out on a top two spot by just one point.

Hull City joined them in earning a place in the top flight by winning in the play-offs, beating Middlesbrough in the final at Wembley Stadium.

Both the Lions and Boro will be keen to contend for promotion again over the next 12 months, and the likes of Southampton, Wrexham, Derby County and Birmingham City will all also be hoping to get into the mix.

West Ham, Wolves and Burnley have come down from the first division, and they too will want to scrap at the top of the second tier table, so another exciting season awaits.

Using Google reviews, which rates venues from a score of one out of five, FLW ranks the 10 best stadiums in the Championship in 2026/27, with ties decided by which ground has the greater volume of reviews…

10 ? ? London Stadium

The London Stadium will host Championship football for the first time ever in 2026/27, with West Ham suffering relegation from the Premier League.

When the Hammers moved into the former Olympic Stadium in 2016, many fans would’ve hoped that it would signal the club taking a step forward in the hierarchy of English football.

But it has taken just 10 years for decline to set in, and Nuno Espirito Santo will be aiming to bring the London outfit back to the big time straight away in the upcoming campaign.

The London Stadium has a score of 4.4/5 on Google reviews, with a total of 18.5k reviews to its name.

9 ? ? Bramall Lane

Sheffield United endured a difficult Championship campaign last year, but Chris Wilder will be hopeful of turning things around in the next 12 months.

Making Bramall Lane into a fortress will be key to their promotion aspirations, with the Blades looking to return to the top flight at the third attempt.

The Yorkshire outfit’s home ground has a strong Google reviews rating of 4.5/5 from a total of around 1,300 reviews.

That is enough to rank it ninth among the Championship’s best home grounds for 2026/27, with supporters expecting better things from the team in the coming campaign.

8 ? ? Fratton Park

John Mousinho’s side finished 18th in the previous campaign, and will be looking to improve on that performance in 2026/27.

The Riverside boasts the second highest capacity in the second tier for next season, with a total capacity of around 33,000.

Gerhard Struber was relieved of his duties in March, with Roy Hodgson coming out of retirement to oversee the end of the term.

But Michael Skubala’s appointment marks the beginning of a new managerial stint, and he will be hoping to bring the Robins back into promotion contention.

Wrexham have enjoyed a rapid rise up the English football pyramid, going from the National League to the Championship from 2023 to 2025.

The Red Dragons have done extensive work to try and improve their home ground in that time, and that will continue into the new campaign.

However, despite the ongoing construction, the Welsh outfit have received a glowing 4.5/5 rating on Google reviews for their stadium.

Wrexham finished seventh in the second division last season, and will be hoping to carry that form into the next 12 months, with their sights set on

The Addicks earned their place back in the Championship in 2025 under Nathan Jones, and maintained that position by coming 19th in the table.

The London outfit will be aiming to improve on that result in 2026/27, and their home form will likely be key to achieving that success.

2 ? ? The Hawthorns

West Brom endured a tricky campaign in 2025/26, narrowly avoiding relegation to League One.

Ryan Mason and Eric Ramsay both struggled to lead the team to consistent results, but James Morrison’s arrival as head coach led to the side turning things around.

Fans will be hoping to see more from the squad at the Hawthorns next season, particularly with the stadium earning an impressive rating of 4.6/5 on Google reviews.

A total of just over 800 people left reviews of the ground, with many enjoying a positive experience of the Midlands outfit.

And now fans will want to see results on the pitch improve as well, with West Brom now entering their sixth consecutive campaign at this level.

1 ? ? Molineux
