Everything is set for The Women's Cup, a women's football tournament coming to Italy for the first time, and is doing so in some style. From 14 to 17 August 2025, the Arena Civica will host a special edition of the prestigious tournament that will see Inter Women compete against three top European clubs: Juventus, F.C. Como Women and reigning champions Atlético Madrid.
It is not just a tournament, but a revolutionary concept. The Women's Cup - Milan Special Edition is a competition made in such a way to rewrite the women's football experience, bringing not only talent to the pitch, but also vision, innovation and storytelling. In collaboration with Mercury 13, a global entrepreneurial group committed to the growth of women's football, the event will offer a new dimension to sporting entertainment: exclusive access, unseen content and a format targeting future audiences. It is a big opportunity for the Nerazzurre, as Mister Piovani emphasises: "It's a prestigious tournament in which we'll play against three other big teams who also performed well in their leagues, so we are keen to do well. We will try to show our qualities, we want to keep continuing our growth. We will approach this tournament with this enthusiasm and we cannot wait to face these clubs. It will definitely be a very stimulating test for us ahead of the imminent start of the season".
John Paul Reynal and CEO of the tournament said: "Bringing the Women's Cup to Italy in this format is more than just an expansion: it's a reinvention. It's an audacious step towards a future in which women's football is not just for watching, but an experience that can be shared in different ways".
Co-CEO and Co-founder of Mercury 13, Victoire Cogevina Reynal, echoed this: "This event reflects our commitment to creating premium experiences in women's football, with particular attention on young, diverse and global audiences".
The format will be made up of two semi-finals and two finals in the space of four days, with four quality teams competing. Inter and Atléti will take the spotlight first of all: the Nerazzurre will face the winners of the 2023 edition of the tournament.
14 August Semi-final 1: Juventus vs. Como Women – 18:00 CEST Semi-final 2: INTER vs. Atlético Madrid – 21:00 CEST
17 August Third-place play-off – 17:00 CEST Grand final – 20:00 CEST
For Italian and international fans, The Women's Cup is an unmissable chance to go to a tournament that is much more than a trophy: it's a manifesto for the global growth of women's football, a bridge between footballing cultures and an explosion of energy, technique and vision.
It will be a unique opportunity for the Nerazzurre to face Europe's elite in a contest that unites tradition and modernity. In the heart of the Milan summer, The Women’s Cup promises spectacle, emotion and a new way of experiencing women's football. It is a date that you simply must add to your calendar.
