Chelsea and Sunderland starlets surge into the latest Top 10 as Mateus Fernandes retains number one for a record-equalling fifth week in The Wonderkid Power Rankings. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the list reflects current form across the Premier League and FA Cup.
Lewis Miley drops out through injury and Eli Junior Kroupi also exits after a goalless cameo against Everton, creating space for two returnees.
10) Noah Sadiki returns, steady since AFCON and forceful against Oxford United in the FA Cup, then dynamic in the narrow defeat to Liverpool. 9) Mateus Mané slips two, busy but wasteful with seven shots across the Nottingham Forest draw and the Grimsby mudbath. 8) Estêvão Willian re-enters, cool from Liam Delap’s pull-back at Hull despite an earlier miss and a hard-running hour against Leeds.
7) Álex Jiménez jumps three, an assertive display featuring nine turnovers and 10 one-on-one wins, tempered by a few missed tackles and a third straight booking. 6) Michael Kayode drops two, slips against Arsenal and Macclesfield yielded chances, yet he blocked two shots in a gritty FA Cup win.
5) Nico O’Reilly edges up one, a tidy one-two with Antoine Semenyo and an angled finish against Fulham before a quieter spell. At Salford, he filled in at left-back and spurned a close-range chance from Omar Marmoush’s pass.
4) Lewis Hall falls two, old one-v-one issues resurfacing in the 3-1 win over Aston Villa, offset by energetic attacking thrust plus four turnovers and a clean interception.
3) Rayan rises two, a thumping far-post header against Everton. A risky dribble in his own box ceded a penalty to Jarrad Branthwaite, yet he has contributed in each of his first three games.
2) Kobbie Mainoo’s resurgence continues, thriving deeper under Michael Carrick with eight recoveries against West Ham, two fouls won and sharp progression. His impact came more from control than final-third threat.
1) Mateus Fernandes stays top, matching the rankings record after an all-action London Stadium outing, eight recoveries and five tackles from five. Less dribbly than Mainoo but still West Ham’s driving force, his passing and carrying stood out without end product.
