Lorch maintains fine form abroad

Thembinkosi Lorch continued to impress as his new club Al-Ittihad SC beat Abelashhar 2-0 in the Libyan Premier League.

The South Africa international laid an assist for Mouad Issa, who broke the deadlock in the hour mark, before Ahmed Al Bizi doubled the lead seven minutes later.

Lorch signed for the 18-time Libyan champions in a big-money move from Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club in the January transfer window.

The 32-year-old attacker has chipped in with one goal and as many assists in three matches across all competitions in Libya.

Ittihad are eight points clear at the summit of the log standings, having picked up 28 points in 10 league outings.

Lorch will be eager to maintain his fine form when the Libyan heavyweights tackle Al Shomoa on Friday, 06 March.
