Theo Hernandez is being linked with a return to Serie A after just one season in Saudi Arabia, with both Como and Juventus monitoring the French left-back as he weighs up his options following a disappointing campaign at Al-Hilal that ended without the Saudi Pro League title, which went instead to Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, via CalcioMercato.it, Como have been admirers of Hernandez for some time, having previously reached an informal agreement with Milan over a potential transfer, only for the player to reject the move.
The prospect of Champions League football under Cesc Fabregas could prove a more persuasive argument this time around, with Como’s debut in Europe’s elite competition representing a genuine selling point for a player of Hernandez’s calibre.

Juventus’s interest is conditional on Andrea Cambiaso’s departure, which is looking increasingly likely given the interest from Barcelona and Chelsea.
Should Cambiaso leave, Hernandez would represent an experienced and proven Serie A operator to fill the vacancy on the left flank, a player Luciano Spalletti would know well from his time in Italy and one whose profile fits the attacking full-back role the system demands.
At 28, Hernandez is at the peak of his powers and would command significant wages, but Champions League football from both potential suitors strengthens Italy’s case considerably.
