Theo Hernandez ‘to be in contention’ for Al-Ittihad Clasico after injury lay-off | OneFootball

Arriyadiyah reports that Theo Hernandez is nearing a return to Al-Hilal’s group training and could be in contention to face Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Roshn League Clasico on 10 October.

Al-Hilal host Al-Ittihad at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, the standout fixture of the eighth round.

The France full-back has been sidelined since early September with an adductor injury sustained in the 3-0 win over Al-Ahli in the third round, and he has not played since.

The report said his chances of featuring are now very high, with a final decision to follow once he rejoins group training.

The former Milan defender has made four appearances this season for Al-Hilal, scoring once and registering no assists.

Al-Hilal head into the Clasico seeking another win to stay top, sitting on 18 points, one clear in second.
