With this long international break, several clubs could already be tempted to part ways with their managers in order to give their successors the best possible conditions to settle in.

But which coaches are already under the most pressure? The answer is below.

Roberto De Zerbi (Tottenham)

It is hard to start with anyone else. So far, the season has been disastrous.

After spending more than €360 million in the summer transfer window, the Italian manager has managed no better than three defeats and two draws in the Premier League. All that while already conceding eight goals and scoring only two.

Currently bottom of the Premier League and already out of the League Cup, Spurs are enduring a nightmare start to the season, and Roberto De Zerbi could soon pay the price.

Bruno Genesio (Marseille)

Five straight defeats in all competitions: that is Marseille's current record, and naturally the pressure is mounting on Bruno Genesio.

But could the Marseille manager throw in the towel before even being dismissed? It is a very real possibility given this start to the season, with the coach already seeming deeply affected.

According to L'Équipe, Bruno Genesio is even struggling to come to terms with the promises the McCourt camp failed to keep during the transfer window.

Michael Carrick (Manchester United)

Michael Carrick is not yet on the hot seat, but his situation could become more complicated if results do not improve.

With only two narrow wins against modest sides Ipswich Town and Sabah FC, the Red Devils are struggling to convince.

The defeat to Manchester City despite having a numerical advantage and the League Cup elimination after leading 2-0 against Brighton are also major blemishes on the English manager's record.

Pierre Sage (Crystal Palace)

For his first major experience in England, Pierre Sage is already under pressure.

With just one win in five Premier League matches, the former Lens manager is struggling to convince in England.

Worse still, Pierre Sage has reportedly already annoyed his chairman by leaving young Jaydee Canvot out of the squad for the match against Ipswich.

The results will have to improve after the international break, otherwise the English romance could be short-lived.

Sebastian Hoeneß

The man behind Stuttgart's recent success, Sebastian Hoeneß is under heavy pressure.

Currently 15th in the Bundesliga with just three points, VfB must urgently turn things around and stop letting matches slip away from them, as happened in the 2-1 defeat in Hamburg.

In his defence, Hoeneß can still point out that he has already had to face Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. However, there will be no room for error in the upcoming matches against Paderborn, Slovan Bratislava and Hamburg.
