Celtic loan star Alex Valle has insisted that he has improved at the Bhoys, but is keeping coy about what the future might hold, amid his spell from Barcelona.
Valle is a youth product of Barcelona’s esteemed academy and in the summer he was sent out on his first loan spell away from Spain, as the Catalans sought to develop him.
The 20-year-old left-back joined Scottish giants Celtic on a season-long loan deal but has not been a regular starter.
Valle has started seven all-competition games until now and has chipped in with four assists in the process.
The Barcelona left-back has insisted that he is improving at Celtic but he did not give up any hints about his destination next season.
“Barcelona has always been my home. This would be my eleventh season, so I have a special affection for them”, the Barcelona loanee at Celtic said on Spanish radio station Cadena SER (via Mundo Deportivo) about the Spanish giants.
“In the end, these are circumstances in football and everyone does what they can. I am very grateful for everything that has happened to me and is happening to me in life.
“I will continue with the present and enjoy it, whatever happens next will be what has to happen.
“I consider that I have improved and I will improve in other aspects.”
Now it remains to be seen if Valle will move on from his loan spell at Celtic at the end of the season or if he will become a permanent signing in the summer of 2025.
