Al-Hilal are ‘quite annoyed’ with the delay in the Crysencio Summerville deal with West Ham United as ‘they expected’ to be able to seal it quickly.

West Ham were relegated to the Championship in the recent campaign and since then it has been widely expected that Summerville will leave this summer.

The 24-year-old winger was already linked with several clubs and his strong displays at the World Cup with the Netherlands raised his demand even more.

At first it seemed that the Dutch international would join Italian giants Roma, as the Giallorossi were in the ‘closing stages’ to sign him, but Al-Hilal swooped in with a much better offer.

But Summerville has ‘not yet accepted’ Al-Hilal as his next destination, though the Saudi club have submitted a bid significantly higher than Roma’s.

Now, Al-Hilal are ‘quite annoyed’ with the delay in closing the deal, as they expected to wrap up the deal as quickly as possible, according to Italian journalist Damiano Er Faina.

It has been suggested that the Saudi club expected to get the deal over the line after submitting a contract much better than Roma in terms of money, and will wait for some time, but not forever.

Roma will hope that Summerville will choose their proposal after being linked with the club for several months and also the fact that they will offer him Champions League football in the upcoming season.

The transfer saga has heated up in the last few days, and with Al-Hilal’s new bid, West Ham have been accused of ‘playing dirty’ by negotiating with the Saudi club by an Italian journalist.

Summerville still has three years remaining on his contract with West Ham, which puts them in a strong position to decide on his future.

The Hammers will be seeking to get the maximum financial profit out of the Summerville deal, as it will help them to sign players wanted by manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

Nuno will need the club’s support in the transfer market, as West Ham will be fighting for promotion in the Championship next season.
