“They need to speed things up” – PSV midfielder responds to Dortmund interest

Having been heavily linked with Borussia Dortmund in recent weeks, PSV midfielder Joey Veerman has now responded to the German club’s interest.

“If it happens, that would be a great option for me. I’ve been waiting for something like that for years,” Veerman openly told ESPN

“We’ll have to wait and see what happens in the final weeks. I hope they’ll give me the opportunity, because I’ve had five very good years here.

“I think I’ve won eight trophies, so I’ve definitely had a fantastic time here,” he added.

According to ESPN, the 27-year-old midfielder has a release clause – reportedly worth €20 million – that expires on August 21.

“They need to speed things up if they want me that badly,” he said with a laugh.
