Manchester United are interested in signing the Koln attacker Said El Mala.
The 19-year-old attacker has done quite well this season, and he has nine goal contributions in 15 league matches. Manchester United have already made contact with the German club regarding a potential move, but the player and his club are not keen on a move next month.
It seems that any move will have to wait until the summer transfer window.
According to journalist Christian Falk, Manchester United have informed the German club that ‘they want the player’ and they are hoping to sign him immediately. They are prepared to pay €40 million for him.
Given the fact that the player is not ready to move next month, any move will be very difficult. It remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.

It is no secret that Manchester United need more quality in the attack. The 19-year-old would be a long-term investment for them. El Mala will add pace, flair, goals and unpredictability to the side. He has the potential to develop into a top-class Premier League attacker with the right guidance. Manchester United have done well to nurture Young players in the past, and they could help him fulfil his world-class potential.
€40 million is a substantial offer for a player of his talent, but Koln do not want to lose him easily. They are likely to demand a lot more if they decide to sell the player in future. It will be interesting to see if Manchester United decide to retain their interest in the player and return for him in the summer. They need more quality on the flanks, and El Mala could be a star for them.
