After winning the Barcelona derby on Sunday, FC Barcelona are set to return to UEFA Champions League action on Wednesday as they face the Serbian side Red Star Belgrade.

The Blaugranes are coming into this game in the best of form, after having beaten the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid a few days ago.

Keeping this form in view, the Red Star Belgrade coach, Vladan Milojevic, was not very optimistic about his team’s chances against Barcelona as he spoke to a press conference ahead of this game.

As Mundo Deportivo has noted, the coach was quite realistic and honest in his assessment of the upcoming game:v“I believe Barcelona will come out victorious; they’re in incredible form, and it’s a game we should enjoy as players and fans.”

Milojevic went on to describe Barcelona as the best team in Europe at this point in time: “It’s very hard to say that; we have to stay focused and face them in the best way possible to try to achieve what we’ve planned in training, so we can present ourselves in front of a full stadium…”

“We’re up against the best team in Europe; Barcelona is at their best in every aspect of the game. They play with inspiration, enthusiasm, and full self-confidence.”

When reminded that Barcelona have already lost to Monaco and Osasuna this season, the Serbian coach did not want to focus too much on how these games went:

“I don’t look at that. We don’t prepare for the game by focusing on where our opponent lost; instead, we prepare collectively for each match. Barcelona is in great form, they’ve brought their game to perfection, and they’re playing at a very high level. They shorten the field and have a spectacular combination in everything they do.”

Milojevic’s comments are only the latest indication that rival teams are once again afraid of FC Barcelona. It is easy to understand why that is the case as Flick’s team has been performing very well since the start of the season, and is clearly one of the best teams in Europe.
