Flamengo have enquired about signing Thiago Almada from Atletico Madrid.
According to Coluna Do Fla, the Argentine wants to leave Atletico but, despite limited game time, he intends to continue in Europe. As a result, there is no prospect of a Flamengo move for now.

River Plate have also shown interest. Almada conveyed the same stance. He is not looking to play in South America at present.
Flamengo are prioritising two additions, a centre-forward to back up Pedro, and a midfielder capable of covering for Arrascaeta.
A left-back is not considered a priority, though a bid could follow if a suitable opportunity arises.
