Just 29 seconds were on the clock when Clement Bischoff stunned SV Ried with a perfectly placed volley into the far corner – in the fastest goal of the current Bundesliga season! The 4-1 home victory capped off a perfect week for the 19-year-old (2 goals, 2 assists), who has been gaining momentum ever since joining us at the beginning of September.
Off the pitch, the speedy winger is also an exciting character! Born in Denmark, with family roots in Kenya, his uncle Mikkel, who played for Manchester City among other clubs, describes Clement as "funny, open-minded, and competitive" – someone who enjoys laughing, approaches life with curiosity, and is determined to win. His passion for sports isn't limited to football, as the attacker is also enthusiastic about padel, regular tennis and badminton – his dynamism on the pitch is clearly no accident!

Particularly interesting is that shortly before his move to Salzburg, Clement had just begun learning Spanish, fueled by his interest in languages, but this will have to go on the backburner for now. Logically, learning German now takes top priority – a task he's tackling with his characteristic determination and for which he'll hopefully receive support from Mads Bidstrup, Jacob Rasmussen, and the rest of the team. Even if some vocabulary is still a bit of a challenge, Clement has already mastered the universal language of his good vibes. His love of music helps, as he is fond of listening to Burna Boy's songs while playing football.
The newcomer is also discovering the city of Salzburg step by step and growing to love it. His current favourite spot – besides the Red Bull Arena – is a frozen yogurt shop in the city center, which was introduced to him by Salko Hamzic.

It's clear that Clement is not only bringing pace and goals, but also a lot of positive energy to the team. The next opportunity to add to his tally of goals and assists comes this Thursday when we host Go Ahead Eagles in the UEFA Europa League at 18:45.
