The Cantera Rojiblanca continued its journey through Matchday 4 of the Apertura 2026, where both the U-19 Women’s and U-15 Men’s teams defeated Santos Laguna by scores of 3-0 and 3-1, respectively. Meanwhile, the U-17 Men’s team also faced the Laguneros and looked to come back from behind. However, the Rojiblancos ultimately fell 2-1.

How did the Cantera Rojiblanca fare against Santos Laguna?

U-15 (Men’s)

The U-15 team earned an important 3-1 victory over Santos Laguna in a match played this Saturday at Gigantera Field 3. Guadalajara opened the scoring in the 45th minute through a goal from Roberto Benítez and, just one minute later, Saúl Hernández doubled the Rebaño’s lead. Late in the match, Ángel Ayala found the back of the net in the 89th minute to seal the Rojiblancos’ victory and secure all three points for the Rebaño. With this victory, the Rojiblancos moved into first place in Group 2 with 9 points.

U-19 (Women’s)

The U-19 Women’s team maintained its perfect start to the Apertura 2026 after defeating Santos Laguna 3-0 in Matchday 4 at Sports Arena. Farah Talamás opened the scoring in the 31st minute and, just four minutes later, Valeria Medina doubled the Rojiblancas’ lead. The forward found the back of the net again in the 50th minute to complete her brace and seal the victory for Guadalajara, who reached 9 points and, with one match remaining, share the top spot in Group B.

U-17 (Men’s)

The U-17 team fell 2-1 to Santos Laguna in a match where the Laguneros took the lead during the first half. Justin Chávez scored both of Santos’ goals, finding the net in the 20th and 37th minutes, respectively. Guadalajara responded in the second half, with Ricardo Mireles pulling one back in the 76th minute, but the Rojiblancos’ effort was not enough to level the score. With this result, the Rojiblancos sit in fifth place in Group 2 with 4 points.
