Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has some good and some bad news ahead of his side playing Chelsea at the weekend.

Spurs have been in some good form of late, although they did get dumped out of The League Cup by Newcastle United last night, whilst Chelsea advanced to the quarter finals.

The Blues beat Wolves 4-3 away from home, although it wasn’t exactly a good game of football by Chelsea at all and they almost ended up being their own worst enemies. Chelsea were very good in the first half, but VERY bad in the second half with a bunch of defensive errors and just not turning up all over the pitch really.

Luckily, Chelsea have been handed the most favourable draw in the quarter finals of the competition, going away to play Cardiff City, who are the only team left in the cup who are not in the Premier League. Enzo Maresca will be pleased with this and should absolutely fancy a game they will now be fully expected to win.

But focus now turns back to the Premier League for Chelsea and Spurs, who face each other this coming Saturday in the evening kick off game.

Thomas Frank applauds the fans.

Thomas Frank has revealed that Guglielmo Vicario will be fit to face Chelsea but Wilson Odobert and Archie Gray could be out for longer spells.

Frank gave an update on update on their absences in words picked up by Hayters TV.

“Gray got a contact to the calf in Monaco and has picked up a calf sprain,” he said. “Odobert has a Side strain. We need to assess him.

“Vicario had a small thing that he had to be done but he’ll be ready for Chelsea.”
