Tottenham Hotspur have sacked manager Thomas Frank following Tuesday night's home defeat to Newcastle United.
Spurs are yet to win a Premier League game since the start of 2026, drawing four and losing four of eight fixtures with the defeat to Newcastle the final straw for Frank.
Tottenham have now decided to dismiss the former Brentford boss whose time in charge of the club has been plagued by injuries to key players. In a statement the club said it has today 'taken the decision to make a change' before underlying its previous support for the head coach.
"However, results and performances have led the Board to conclude that a change at this point in the season is necessary," the statement continued.
"Throughout his time at the Club, Thomas has conducted himself with unwavering commitment, giving everything in his efforts to move the Club forward. We would like to thank him for his contribution and wish him every success in the future."
Tottenham reportedly paid £6.7 million to bring Frank and his coaching staff in to replace Ange Postecoglou in the summer and are now set to pay compensation to the Dane who had initially signed a three-year contract.
In total, Frank oversaw 38 games in charge of Spurs in all competitions with a record of 13 wins, 11 draws, and 14 defeats.
Whoever replaces Frank will have a tough first game with Tottenham set to host North London rivals and Premier League leaders Arsenal in their next game.
