Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank is still in danger of losing his job, despite being given a stay of execution for Tuesday’s match against Borussia Dortmund

According to The Telegraph, Tottenham’s Lewis family owners and chief executive Vinai Venkatesham are considering sacking the Dane after Saturday’s 2-1 loss to West Ham United

The club’s hierarchy wanted to be more patient with Frank, who has been without many of his best players due to injuries.

The atmosphere at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium turned toxic after Callum Wilson scored a stoppage-time winner for the Hammers.

The supporters directed ‘sacked in the morning’ chants at their own manager.

Frank will remain in charge for the Champions League game against Dortmund, but there is no guarantee beyond that.

The 52-year-old replaced Ange Postecoglou as Tottenham manager in June.

The club furnished funds for the signings of Mohammed Kudus, Xavi Simons and Randal Kolo Muani in the summer.

But despite their investments, Spurs have had an underwhelming campaign so far under Frank.

They are currently languishing in 14th place in the Premier League, having won just seven of their 22 matches.

Having exited the Carabao Cup in October, the Lilywhites also crashed out of the FA Cup following a 2-1 loss to Aston Villa earlier this month.

Frank must lead his team to victory against Dortmund, otherwise his reign in North London will surely end.
