Thomas Tuchel has signed a two-year extension with the England national team to keep him in charge until Euro 2028.

The German signed an 18-month contract towards the very end of 2024 overseeing his first game in charge in March of 2025 – a 2-0 win over Albania. Since then the Three Lions successfully qualified for the 2026 World Cup with a 100% record.

Tuchel has now committed to England until the end of Euro 2028 which will be hosted jointly between England, Scotland, Wales, and the Republic of Ireland.

The move also quashes any speculation of Tuchel returning to club management this summer with the 52-year-old having been linked with the Manchester United job.

So far England have played ten games under Tuchel, winning nine of them with the only defeat coming in a friendly loss to Senegal back in June.
