Thomas Tuchel has named his England side for Saturday evening’s Nations League match in Croatia, starting Harry Kane and recalling Jordan Pickford, with Leeds United striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Leeds goalkeeper James Trafford among the substitutes.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Tuchel had set out before Spain that Trafford would start the first two fixtures and Pickford the last two, a plan now confirmed.

Calvert-Lewin earned a recall for the four-game block after a strong club start and got seven minutes in last weekend’s 3-2 home defeat to Spain, replacing Kane late on. He was then unused in Tuesday’s 2-0 win in the Czech Republic, with Kane again starting before Jude Bellingham came on, having been left on the bench at kick-off.

Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott is handed a first England start. He joins the XI alongside Bellingham, the fit again Ezri Konsa and Jarrell Quansah.

The other players to make way are Trent Alexander-Arnold, Trevor Chalobah, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Morgan Rogers, completing five changes.
