Thorgan Hazard ‘to return’ to Lens after Anderlecht contract ends

Thorgan Hazard should return to Lens, with DH reports that the 33-year-old has agreed a two-year deal after his Anderlecht contract expires in June.

Fourteen years after leaving his formative club, the move would take effect this summer.

A versatile attacker who can play through the middle, out wide or as a wing-back, the Belgium international has 47 caps and nine goals.

This season he has scored 15 times in 40 appearances for Anderlecht. He returned to Belgium in 2023 after spells with Chelsea, Borussia M'Gladbach, Borussia Dortmund and PSV Eindhoven.

He came through Lens’ academy after leaving Tubize in 2007, before crossing the Channel to join Chelsea in 2012. The brother of Eden Hazard would now continue his career in Artois.
