Although the FC Barcelona Sporting Director Deco has ensured that he is not looking for a lot of changes in the Blaugrana team for the next season, there are some transfer movements set to take place for the first team in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Catalans are reportedly quite close to the signing of the RCD Espanyol goalkeeper Joan Garcia, and are also looking to sign a new winger, with players like Luis Diaz and Marcus Rashford being linked with them.
Meanwhile, there are also some departures expected to take place, and according to SPORT, there are three players who are likely to leave Barcelona this summer, which would open up some slots in Hansi Flick’s team.
One of these players who is nearing a move away from the Blaugrana club is the forward Ansu Fati, who is in advanced negotiations with Monaco for a loan. The forward understands that he is not going to get a lot of minutes next season and will leave on a loan with the option to buy.
Two other players who have had very little participation under Flick last season, Pablo Torre and Pau Victor, are also likely to leave this summer. The former’s contract expires in 2026, and he also did not enjoy a lot of minutes under Flick.
On the other hand, Pau Victor did get some minutes at the end of the season, and Barcelona also have confidence in his growth and development. Thus, he will leave only on loan or a transfer with a very low repurchase option.
Thus, even if Luis Diaz, Marcus Rashford, or another forward joins the team, there will be some vacancies in Flick’s squad for the upcoming pre-season, and Toni Fernandez is one of the players who is looking quite likely to take advantage of this situation.
Juan Hernandez is another player who can get a call-up, while other youngsters will also be hopeful of getting an opportunity to impress with the Barcelona first team.
