Dani Carvajal and Alvaro Arbeloa reportedly spoke to sort out their differences yesterday after the Real Madrid captain was left frustrated at his lack of prominence under the new coach.
After all, Arbeloa has not counted on the Spaniard since his return from injury over a month ago and the captain has just 27 minutes in this period despite travelling with the squad.
It was at Mestalla, however, where Carvajal saw the situation crossing the line when the manager handed both Trent Alexander-Arnold and David Jimenez minutes ahead of him – a decision Arbeloa justified as being to ‘avoid any risks’ with the veteran.
In light of the recent developments, Carvajal has opened up to the possibility of leaving in the summer when his contract runs out and the club even internally believe that the player has made up his mind on that decision.
Now, SPORT bring to light three potential destinations that have opened up for the Spaniard should he opt to leave.

It is clear that Carvajal will not join a direct rival or a team that can cross paths with Real Madrid in any competition, and Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United States of America thus appear to be his three options.
Should he move to Qatar, he will be reunited with his brother-in-law and former teammate Joselu who left Real Madrid for Al-Gharafa in 2024.
A move to Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, will see him cross paths with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema who currently play for two of the biggest teams in the league.
The MLS is a third option for Carvajal, and he will find former teammates in the United States too in the likes of Sergio Reguilon and James Rodriguez.
It thus remains to be seen what decision the player takes at the end of the season and whether or not staying remains at least a remote possibility. After all, he is one of the last standing leaders and icons for the team.
