Wolves have endured a miserable second half of 2025. They sit bottom of the Premier League on Christmas Day, matching a Premier League record and showing little sign of escaping the drop zone.

According to Molineux.news, three players must raise their levels in 2026 to spark an upturn or risk departures, with two of them summer arrivals.

Jorgen Strand Larsen has fallen well short of last season, with one goal in 15 league games compared with six goals and two assists by this stage last year. Keeping him despite offers around £60 million now seems a terrible call in hindsight. If the 25-year-old finds form, results could follow, although Crystal Palace and West Ham are tracking him for January and he must improve if he stays.

Jackson Tchatchoua arrived with promise and searing pace meant to add threat, yet by Christmas it has not come together. There have been glimpses but little to shout about. In 2026 he needs to step up or his Wolves future could already be in doubt.

Jhon Arias came in after the Club World Cup amid plenty of hype, but by Christmas he has not met expectations. He has worked hard without end product, and is continually linked with a January move as some fans favour a sale. If the 28-year-old stays beyond the winter window, he clearly needs to improve.
