A touching post-match scene in Metz saw young Thyméo present the man-of-the-match award to PSG winger Ibrahim Mbaye, 17, after Metz 2-3 PSG. The teenager, who set up two goals, handed over his match shirt in return.

According to L'Équipe, the brief ceremony capped a lively evening won by the reigning European champions.

Slightly shy, Thyméo asked if he could have Mbaye’s shirt. The player obliged immediately.

The youngster was visibly moved, expressing disbelief and gratitude, then leaning in to give the player a quick kiss.

The moment followed the Ligue 1 fixture on matchday 16, leaving both award-winner and supporter with a memory to savour.
