According to Fabrice Hawkins, Tiago Morais (20) has arrived in Lille ahead of a move from Boavista FC.
The young Portuguese forward has already completed a medical early this morning and it is thought that later today the two clubs will confirm a deal expected to be in the region of €3 million which will keep him at Lille until June 2028.
The winger has featured frequently for Boavista this season in the Portuguese league and was important to their strong start to the season, which saw the club equal their best-ever start to a league campaign.
And while results have tapered off for the historic club, Morais’s performances have remained strong and he will now be rewarded with a move to Paulo Fonesca’s Les Dogues.
Morais has primarily been played as a left winger during this season but has had experience across the front three, there could be a temptation to see how the prospect would fit playing more as a number nine in his new club with the departure of Jonathan Davids appearing to be imminent.
