Tiefenbach chairman shares excitement over Niklas Süle signing | OneFootball

SV Tiefenbach, a Baden-Württemberg district league club, are preparing for the arrival of Niklas Süle after he joined at the end of his illustrious professional career.

“It’s incredible, phenomenal. There are no expressions for what happened. We are a small, down-to-earth club and now a world star is coming here. For us, that's absolutely crazy,” said chairman Jürgen Bloch to Bild.

He added that he felt “goose bumps, palpitations and sweating” when the transfer was first announced.

Head coach Jason Walzel, a long-time friend of the former Germany international, played a key role in persuading the defender. Initial talks took place while Süle was on a post-season holiday in Ireland.

“I am very happy to finally experience football from a completely different angle after 13 years of professional football. It will only be about the sport itself and not about business or money,” said the five-time Bundesliga winner to Sky Sports when he completed his move at the beginning of the month.
