KINGSTON, Jamaica – Tigres UANL Femenil won 7-1 against Frazsiers Whip in Group A of the 2024/25 Concacaf W Champions Cup on Wednesday at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.
Ana Dias started the scoring for the six-time Liga MX Femenil Champions in the 6’, receiving a cross assist in the box and striking the ball with her right foot.
Ana Seica doubled Tigres’ lead in the 14’ from a corner kick, sending a header past Frazsiers Whip goalkeeper Italya Robinson.
Thembi Kgatlana scored the third for Las Amazonas in the 23’ from a shot just inside the box, hitting with her right foot into the bottom left corner of goal.
Davia Richards wrote history in the 55’, scoring the first goal for the Caribbean side in the tournament, sending the ball past goalkeeper Ofelia Solis with a right-footed touch.
Alison Gonzales scored the fourth goal for the visitors from the penalty spot in the 60’, following a Jamaican foul in the box.
Belen Cruz added a fifth for Tigres in the 62’, receiving a cross from Dias.
The sixth goal of the evening came from Tigres legend Stephany Mayor in the 81’, with a volley in the area that got past Robinson.
Mayor completed her brace in the 90'+8', with a right-footed shot in the box to put a bow on Tigres’ second win in the W Champions Cup.
Tigres Femenil’s next oppents in the W Champions Cup will be Costa Rica champions LD Alajuelense on October 2 at Estadio Universitario in Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Frazsier Whip will play their fourth match of the group stage against NWSL champions NJ/NY Gotham on October 2 at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.
