UANL Tigres legend André-Pierre Gignac (40) is reportedly on the radar of Boca Juniors and Club América, according to L’Équipe.

With his contract at the Monterrey-based club due to expire, the former French international (36 caps, seven goals) does not yet know what the future holds for him. What he is certain of, however, is that he is not quite ready to hang up his boots just yet.

And whilst he is still waiting for an offer of a contract extension from the club’s management – which he hopes will come – Gignac continues to explore the opportunities that may open up for him.

A move to Argentina or to Tigres’ rivals therefore seems a possibility for Los Felinos’ icon. For despite the admiration his supporters have for him and the love the former Olympique de Marseille player feels for them in return, he wishes to continue living out his passion. And if that means leaving, 11 years after his arrival in Mexico, then perhaps the time has simply now indeed come.
