Tigres UANL, Seattle Sounders FC meet again in Champions Cup | OneFootball

MIAMI – The 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup continues with Tigres UANL hosting Seattle Sounders FC in the First Leg of their Quarterfinals series at Estadio Universitario in San Nicolás de los Garza, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

This will be the second time these teams face each other. The previous meeting came in the Quarterfinals of the 2012/13 edition, in which Seattle won 3-2 on aggregate.

Tigres UANL are coming off a thrilling comeback, winning 5-4 on aggregate against FC Cincinnati in the Round of 16. Ozziel Herrera and Fernando Gorriarán led the charge in the Second Leg at the Universitario, which ended in the latter scoring the series-winner in the 90’+8’.

Seattle Sounders secured its ticket to the Quarterfinals with a 5-1 aggregate victory over regional rivals Vancouver Whitecaps FC, the runners-up of the 2025 edition. Among the scorers for Seattle are Danny Musovski, Paul Rothrock, and former U.S. men’s national team forward Paul Arriola, who recently returned from injury.
