Tijjani Reijnders has left Manchester City to join Saudi Arabian side Al Qadsiah on a permanent deal, subject to international clearance.
The Dutch international midfielder joined City from AC Milan in June 2025 and went on to make 50 appearances all told, scoring seven goals across all competitions.
Reijnders memorably found the target for City on his Premier League debut in last August’s 4-0 victory away at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
He also played his part in helping the Club to win both the FA Cup and Carabao Cup across the 2025/26 season.
On the international front meanwhile, Reijnders who has won 35 caps for the Netherlands to date, was also part of the Dutch squad at the recent 2026 World Cup finals.
A technically gifted central midfielder armed with a prodigious work rate and eye for goal, the 28-year-old is now moving on to undertake a new challenge in the Saudi Pro League
But reflecting on his time at City, Reijnders said he would look back on his Etihad career with nothing but the fondest memories.
“I have been incredibly privileged to play for Manchester City, and I have relished every minute of my time here,” he said.
“From the very moment I arrived, everyone at the Club – players, coaches and staff - made me feel so welcome and a part of the Manchester City family.
“I would also like to say a special thank you to the City fans who were so warm and supportive both to me and my family.
“To be part of the squad that won two such special trophies last season were both incredible experiences and achievements that I will savour forever.
“I may be moving on but I will always have a special place in my heart for Manchester City.”
Director of Football Hugo Viana said: “Tijjani more than made his mark across his time here at Manchester City.
“He impressed everyone with his talent, application, hard work and total dedication and was the perfect professional.
“And he played a very important part across both our successful campaigns in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup.
“We thank Tijjani for everything he has done here and wish him every success as he now embarks on the next stage of his career.”
Everyone at Manchester City wishes Tijjani the very best of luck looking to the future.
