As time passes, football is only getting younger with players exploding to the highest level in their teens, and in turn, opting to leave for lower leagues late in their thirties.
The scouting team, thus, has now earned a fundamental role in the planning and transfer decisions of all top European clubs that are scouting talents at the grassroots level.
Real Madrid are no different and their signing of Franco Mastantuono reflects the same.
As relayed in recent weeks, however, Los Blancos also have their eyes on an even youngster talent who has got the world talking about him – Gilberto Mora.
The young and dynamic attacker has already made himself a regular for Club Tijuana in Mexico at just 16 years of age and is one of the highest-rated talents in the sport who Real Madrid also have their eyes on.
As relayed by ESPN Deportes (h/t The Madrid Zone), Club Tijuana academy coach Ignacio Ruvalcaba spoke on Mora and how the player is a Real Madrid fan through and through.

He also added that the youngster passionately follows the club and backs himself to play for them in the future.
“He loves to watch Real Madrid, he sees himself playing there.”
Finally, Ruvalcaba revealed how the dressing room and coaching staff always teased the teenager about Real Madrid and him playing for the club one day.
“We always joke with Gilberto, because he is a Real Madrid fan. He always watches their games and if they win or lose, we bet on small things.”
With the likes of Barcelona, Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United and Ajax all looking to pounce on his signing, Real Madrid will have to tread with caution.
They do have an edge, but matters could change dramatically when transfer economics come into play.
