Nordin Jackers may be looking for a new club in January. The former Beveren goalkeeper has now been demoted to third choice goalkeeper with Club Brugge. With the arrival of Yan Sommer from Inter, Jackers was always looking at being second choice this season. However, as reported by HLN, that has now changed. Ivan Leko has decided that the highly rated Belgian goalkeeper Argus Vanden Driessche is his second choice keeper behind Sommer.

Sommer has not had the best start to his Club Brugge career. While he did make some important saves at the weekend against Antwerp, he was also responsible for the goal that Club Brugge conceded. It speaks volumes of how highly 19-year-old Vanden Driessche is rated within Club Brugge that he is now second choice after Sommer has made some mistakes.

For Jackers, clearly now is the time to find a new club. He has done well when called upon to replace Simon Mignolet at times, and there were certainly elements of the Club Brugge fanbase who would have been happy with Jackers taking the starting spot this season. However, at the age of 29, he can ill afford to be a third choice goalkeeper if his ambition is to be playing.

Jackers will certainly attract interest from around the Belgian Pro League, given some of his performances for Club Brugge since he joined from OH Leuven.
