Tino Livramento starts for England on Sunday – Under 21s Euro Finals

Over in Slovakia, Tino Livramento couldn’t have made a better start to the Under 21 Euro Finals.
He was man of the match as the England Under 21s beat the Czech Republic 3-1 in their opening group game. The NUFC star was excellent in defence and going forward, getting an assist for the second goal.
Sunday sees the Young Lions in action again.
Their second group match is a 5pm kick-off against Slovenia.
Tino Livramento starts again, as Lee Carsley makes two changes from the side that beat the Czech Republic in the opening game.
Ethan Nwaneri and Hayden Hackney coming in for Alex Scott and Omari Hutchinson.
England Under 21s team v Slovenia:
Beadle, Gray, Quansah, Cresswell, Livramento, Hackney, Anderson, Elliott, Nwaneri, McAtee, Rowe.
Good luck to Tino and his international teammates.
A win today would all but guarantee a quarter-final place for England, as the winners and runners-up of each group go through.
Will Osula is also involved at these Under 21s Euro finals, Denmark taking on Holland at 8pm tonight. The Newcastle United forward made a huge impact off the bench in their first group game, trailing 2-1 to the Ukraine, Will Osula got an assist and then the winning goal himself!
Tino Livramento spoke ahead of today’s match:
“I see it as a privilege [to be asked to be a leader for the Under 21s in this tournament].
“Thomas Tuchel obviously spoke to me about the senior squad and said that he wanted to speak to Lee [Carsley] as well about giving me that role.
“I’ve never played a tournament for England at any age group.
“I’ve always missed through injuries.
“I think that’s a big thing for me, coming here, getting this experience and playing with loads of boys that I’ve come through the age groups with.”
Lee Carsley has also spoken ahead of this afternoon’s match and specifically, Tino Livramento:
“It’s his first tournament for England and we believe that if we can have success in these tournaments with these experiences, it’s going to help the seniors in the long term.
‘But that’s got to be his [Tino Livamento’s] goal, playing in the senior team.
“He’s definitely got the capabilities to do.’

There are 16 countries who have qualified for these Under 21s Euros Finals, the tournament runs to 28 June.
The winners and runners-up from each of the four groups goes through to the knockout quarter-finals.
