Both clubs will answer charges tied to a mass brawl after Flaco López’s goal, which sealed Corinthians’ defeat in Itaquera. Palmeiras face articles 257, § 3º and 191, III of the CBJD, and Corinthians 257, § 3º and 213, III.

Coach Abel Ferreira was charged after being sent off for protesting at the officiating, allegedly clapping ironically after a yellow card. The conduct falls under article 258 § 2º, II, carrying a possible ban of one to six matches.

Palmeiras player Luighi was also charged for striking a Corinthians supporter with the ball during the celebration, classed as conduct contrary to sporting discipline. Andreas Pereira was not charged over scuffing the penalty spot before Memphis Depay’s kick.

In the referee Raphael Claus’s report, ball boy Alessandro da Silva is alleged to have kicked Ramón Sosa during the melee.

Both sides are in the Campeonato Paulista semi-finals. Corinthians face Novorizontino on Saturday at 20:30, and Palmeiras play São Paulo on Sunday at the same time. A fresh Derby could follow in the final if both progress.
