Team Great Britain return after playing in 2012. With arguably the most in-depth squad at the Games and new manager Hege Riise, they have something to prove.

After missing the 2016 games, hosts Japan also make their return to the games with the hopes of shaking off the pressure and reaching the podium on home soil.
