Tom Fellows will be fit to start Southampton's home match against Coventry City on Saturday. According to Sainstmarching.com, the winger has shaken off the groin problem that kept him out at Norwich City.
He sustained the injury against West Bromwich Albion in midweek.
The former England Under-21 has been integral to Tonda Eckert's side since he replaced Will Still. His carrying over 30-40 yards turns defence into attack and has brought three assists in seven games. A 30-yard surge set up Léo Scienza for the opener against West Brom.
Eckert remains without Elias Jelert, who returned to training earlier this week, and Mads Roerslev, who is due to return to training next week. Earlier right-sided injuries forced Still to use Fellows in a hybrid role, with no natural right-back or wing-back.
He adapted well, though he was exposed at times when defending deep. Demarai Gray gave him a torrid afternoon when Birmingham City visited St Mary's earlier in the month.
Fellows' groin issue may have been an indirect result of heavy minutes in a high-energy position. Eckert's 3-4-3 places big demands on the wide players at both ends.
Coventry arrive in mixed form, with four points so far in December. The month began with a 3-0 defeat at Ipswich Town, then a 1-1 draw at Preston North End, before a home win over Bristol City for Frank Lampard's side.
Fellows may not relish facing Ephron Mason-Clark, who scored his fourth of the season against Bristol City. A win over Lampard's Coventry would be a significant scalp.
