As reported by Florian Plettenberg, Tomáš Čvančara is on the verge of joining Borussia Mönchengladbach.
The 22-year-old forward was a desired player by both head coach Gerardo Seoane and sporting manager Roland Virkus.
There is a verbal agreement between both parties and a medical for the Czech international will take place soon. As per the report, Sparta Prague will receive a big transfer fee for the youngster, however, the exact amount is yet unknown.
According to TranksferMarkt, Čvančara’s current market value is €4m. Expect the fee plus add-ons to be more than is.
Standing at 1.9 metres tall, Čvančara will give Gladbach a target man up top and other something different with the absence of Marcus Thuram.
During the 2023/24 campaign, the forward played 24 league matches, scoring 12 times and assisting on three occasions.
It’s a crucial season for Gladbach who have been on a steady decline since their fourth-place finish in 2020, with back-to-back 10th-place finishes in recent seasons. Read about their current situation here on Get German Football News.
