Tomás Pérez close to Atlético Mineiro loan with option to buy

According to O Jogo, Tomás Pérez is close to joining Brazilian side Atlético Mineiro on loan until December.

The deal is advanced but not yet finalised, with an option to buy set at 5.5 million euros for 80 percent of his rights. Porto also retain a right to recall him at the end of June.

The Argentine midfielder is not currently in Francesco Farioli’s plans, so the move would offer the chance of more first-team minutes.

The 20-year-old featured at the 2025 World Cup at his age group and has not played for Porto’s senior side this season. He has appeared in five matches for the B team.

Signed from Newell's Old Boys, he made eight appearances last season.
