Tomeu Nadal has left his role as technical secretary of CD Castellón B. According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, he has been appointed sporting director at Gimnàstic de Tarragona, in Group I of the Primera Federación, a long-standing rival of the orellut club.

The Manacor native is 38, born on eight February 1989. Castellón will undergo many changes in their sporting structure ahead of 2026/27.

Nadal’s switch comes exactly one year after he arrived at Castellón to shape a newly promoted reserve side in Segunda Federación. Following the B team’s relegation to Tercera, his position had little purpose, so an exit was agreed.

A knock-on effect is not ruled out, with some B-team players potentially following him to Tarragona. A loan will be sought for forward Carlos Segura to a Primera Federación club, and he could wear grana in 2026/27.

As a goalkeeper, Nadal played for RCD Mallorca and Getafe B, then Nàstic, Albacete, Burgos, Oviedo and Tenerife. He won two promotions to the Segunda División with Nàstic and Albacete, and contested the Primera División play-offs with Albacete.
