In a development that could boost Real Madrid’s chances of signing Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz, it has been revealed that the German international has secured a major endorsement deal.
According to reports from AS, Wirtz has agreed to represent a leading drinks brand, a deal that was formalised with the involvement of his father, who acts as his agent, and Volker Struth, the agent of Real Madrid veteran Toni Kroos.
This connection could potentially work in Real Madrid’s favour as they look to bolster their squad with the young talent.
Wirtz has long been on Real Madrid’s radar as a marquee signing for the summer transfer window of 2025.
While the Spanish giants are also working on securing the likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alphonso Davies on free transfers, they are prepared to make a significant financial commitment to land Wirtz.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is viewed as an ideal candidate to inject creativity into the midfield, as Real Madrid begin planning for life after their iconic duo, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.
However, Real Madrid face fierce competition from Bayern Munich, who are also keen on Wirtz. The Bavarian club has a reputation for signing the Bundesliga’s top talents and has reportedly made him their primary target for the next transfer window.
Bayer Leverkusen, though, are unlikely to let their star player leave without a significant payday and are said to be demanding at least €120 million for his transfer.
Bayern Munich are reportedly exploring ways to fund a move for Wirtz, which could involve selling high-profile players like Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sane, and Leon Goretzka.
Offloading these players would help Bayern free up resources for what would undoubtedly be a hefty investment.
Despite the competition, Wirtz’s recent association with Kroos’ agent may give Real Madrid a slight edge in the transfer race.
For now, Real Madrid remain hopeful that their long-term planning and connections will help them secure Wirtz’s signature.
